IGYBuddy Terms and Conditions

Draft terms for legal review. These terms describe how IGYBuddy may be used, the boundaries of the service, and the responsibilities of users and buddies.

Service boundaries IGYBuddy is a wellness support and buddy-notification tool. It is not emergency monitoring, medical diagnosis, therapy, crisis care, or a replacement for doctors, counsellors, crisis lines, emergency services, or professional judgment. User responsibilities Users are responsible for entering accurate account and buddy information, choosing trusted buddies, keeping passwords and devices secure, and seeking emergency or professional help when needed. IGYBuddy alerts should be treated as support prompts, not guaranteed interventions. Buddy and notification use Buddies may receive app, email, or SMS notifications based on settings, buddy opt-in, and the user's buddy-sharing choices. External message bodies should be limited to minimal buddy-check prompts and should not include scores, symptoms, diagnoses, or detailed health status. Notifications can be delayed, fail, be sent to a reassigned phone number, or be missed by a buddy. Automated wellness score IGYBuddy may show an automated daily score or status summary based on information such as check-ins, optional Apple Health-derived wellbeing signals when enabled, and recent app activity. The score is an informational support signal and should not be treated as a medical, safety, employment, or emergency decision.
