Users and buddies should update or remove phone numbers that are no longer controlled by the intended recipient. Your choices and rights Users may update profile and buddy settings, manage notification preferences, disconnect optional data sources where supported, request access or correction, and request account deletion from Settings or support. Information we collect

IGYBuddy may collect account details, contact information, buddy relationships, check-ins, wellness notes, optional Apple Health-derived wellbeing signals, notification preferences, subscription status, consent records, security events, support/contact requests, and technical data needed to operate the service.

Sleep, biometrics, and wellbeing signals

When enabled by the user, IGYBuddy may process Apple Health-derived wellbeing signals including sleep and, where supported, heart-rate/HRV, activity, and workout summaries to provide the daily score, self-care prompts, trends, and buddy-check recommendations. These signals can be sensitive and are handled as personal information with additional access controls.

Automated score transparency

The daily score is an automated assessment derived from personal information. It is intended to summarize recent wellbeing signals in plain language. Users may request an explanation of the main signals used and may choose not to connect optional Apple Health/device data where supported.

How information is used

Information is used to provide accounts, daily status and score features, self-care prompts, buddy invitations, minimal app/email/SMS buddy-check prompts, subscriptions, safety and abuse prevention, support, legal consent records, service analytics, and security incident response.

Deletion and retention

Account deletion removes or anonymizes active account, buddy, check-in, score, and notification data where feasible. Limited records, such as consent history, delivery/audit logs, opt-out evidence, security incident records, billing records, and records needed for legal, dispute-resolution, or abuse-prevention purposes, may be retained for documented periods.

Service providers and residency

Database and core compute are intended to be hosted in Canada. Service-provider categories include Twilio for SMS, Postmark or ActiveCampaign for transactional email, Apple for App Store and in-app purchase processing, Expo/APNs/FCM for push notification routing where enabled, and Sentry or similar crash monitoring only if configured. Vendor/sub-processor records must be kept current.

Phone numbers and reassignment risk

Because carriers can recycle phone numbers, IGYBuddy may require re-verification before sending sensitive buddy alerts to dormant or changed numbers. Users and buddies should update or remove phone numbers that are no longer controlled by the intended recipient.

Your choices and rights

Users may update profile and buddy settings, manage notification preferences, disconnect optional data sources where supported, request access or correction, and request account deletion from Settings or support. Some records may be retained where required or permitted by law.
